Tobago Arthur Napoleon Raymond Robinson International Airport (TAB)
History, Facts and Overview
(Tobago, West Indies)
Crown Point Airport has been in operation since 1940, after its strategic coastal location was chosen on the far south-western side of Tobago. Prior to the airport opening, seaplanes were an especially popular way to reach the neighbouring island of Trinidad. Today, Crown Point Airport (TAB) is operated by the Airport Authority of Trinidad and Tobago.
The airport is home to a single bank and one ATM facility, operated by the Republic Bank, along with a series of shops and cafes, such as the Rituals Coffee House. The Crown Point Beach Hotel is situated within walking distance of the airport, offering conference facilities for business travellers and wireless access to the World Wide Web is also available.
